Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Service and food were mostly OK as expected. We go because my husband loves their eggplant (they keep it crispy along the edges). I normally just get the soup and salad. The minestrone was almost shockingly salty. Long time since I've had it there, so I'm not sure if that is normal or not. Still we had a nice enough time and I do always enjoy their salad, and we'll probably go back the next time the husband wants crispy eggplant (*shudder*).

Attentive staff and long waits. When you come to the Olive Garden, you have to adjust expectations: it's not Italian food, just salty and greasy restaurant chain food that fills the belly for a low price. Our service was very good.

Your standard Olive Garden. Service was good, and you get what you expect. The portobello ravioli is my favorite, but unfortunately one of the few options for someone who doesn't like rich parmesan cheese on everything.

Long wait to get seated. Food was OK, but breadsticks were too dry and too hard. Not delicious like they should be at an Italian restaurant. We waited after being seated for 30 minutes for food which is very long. They now also charge $1.99 for touching their game tablet. We saw no warning for any charge. Management has every excuse why a customer must be charged for this cheap $1.99 trick.

Its the only one in town and its close to Glenbrook mall so expect to wait even if you get take out or pick up to go. crazy over the holiday shopping season and not even close to enough parking,

Great food with excellent service! Came here with gf and her mom Tuesday night and it was not crowded at all. We got seated right away. We were offered a free sample of their moscato and it was delicious! Our food came in a timely manner and everything tasted great! Our waitress was funny and really accommodating to our needs. I would definitely go back to this location when I'm in this area again.

One of the best experiences I have had! Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal! The food was hot, fresh, and extremely delicious. Our waitress went the extra mile for us making sure our drinks were kept full. The restaurant itself was superclean and very comfortable. The other staff members made sure to greet us when we came in and tell us goodbye when we left. Definitely recommend!

My Mom & I were super impressed with our server! He was friendly, he tended to our table perfectly & the food was great. I would mention his name, but I've forgotten it! Sorry! I would definitely go back, especially if we had the same service as this time. The only thing I did not like was the pumpkin cheesecake, the flavor was just not that great.

Olive Garden used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but it has sadly gone down hill. I tried it again recently, but I was not impressed. The service has really gone south. It seems that all the servers are young kids who don't know the menu and service was very slow. The food is over priced and just OK.

Fair warning: the breadstick nazi works at this location. This girl absolutely would not bring us a refill on breadsticks unless we basically showed her our mouths were free of every last crumb!

Pretty good restaurant for affordable Italian food. Service was excellent and our server, Natalie, did an awesome job. Over all experience was great.

Not bad, but not great. The food is like every other OG. Service was good, Kristina did a great job at our table. We never had to wait for refills on drinks or our soup and salad lunch. If your not familiar with their soups, my fav is the spicy sausage.

The food on this trip was 3 stars, the 2 stars is for the service. The restaurant was busy when we arrived - a Thursday evening at 6:00 but there was not wait. We were seated right away. We were approached by our waitress within an acceptable period of time. We were starving, so we ordered our meals and drinks at this time. My teenage son had just gotten home from basketball practice was starving and wanted to order an appetizer. I told him not to order one, as they are usually very fast here with the salad and breadsticks. Boy - I was wrong on this visit. It took FOREVER to get our salad and breadsticks - all the while receving deadly looks from my son. It finally came and the food was good. Our order also took longer than usual, but again, when it arrived it was good. I can tell that they have cut back a little on their portion size due to the economy, but many restaurants have done this. The cutback I really noticed was the wait staff. It probably wasn't my servers fault that the service was slow. She was probably handling too many tables because management didn't want to pay the correct number of servers. We like coming here, and I hope this was just a one-time thing. I will pay higher prices for good food, and will understand when portions are a LITTLE smaller, but I am still spending my hard earned money and want to be served in a timely manner. Thank you :)

My family and I have been eating at Olive garden regularly. We liked the food selection and service. Serving staff is very friendly. Most have good sense of humor and make your dining enjoyable. Waiting staff could be trained to be more friendlier.

We went to Olive Garden hoping to satisfy my needs for a gluten free menu with my sister's Midwestern notions of food. My poor husband was nauseous before we left the establishment from his grease and pasta. I ordered salmon that was so dry that I could barely swallow it at all. The vegetables were absolutely flavorless. No rice or potatoes - apparently they need flour to prepare these simple items. The salad was iceberg lettuce, and you have to eat the gluten filled house dressing or no dressing at all. If you have celiac and have to eat gluten free, really don't bother with this place. If you have ever eaten real Italian food or can identify Italy on a map, use those map reading abilities to cruise right past this joint. I know it is just a chain and that it serves a certain type of customer, which is probably why the vegetables had as much flavor as plastic decorative ones, but really, this was just gross. I might add that the little girl waiting our table did not know anything about food allergies, meaning the chain doesn't properly train its staff, and she thought I could have bread since that's not flour. Yikes!

Your average Olive Garden. You know if you like it. Nothing distinctive about it. Completely Par for Olive Garden.

Ditto the other reviews but only 2 stars: "Meh. I've experienced better." The service and the food were good. We didn't have to wait long, but it was a Thursday night. But it's way overpriced and when we ordered the salad with the croutons on the side due to my wife's gluten allergy, we found a crouton in the bottom of the bowl. Not cool. If you want Italian food in the Fort Wayne area, you have to go to any Casa restaurant.
